A week of “see ya laters’

A bitter sweet week.  I don’t really like the idea of saying good-bye, I am much more comfortable  with “see ya later”.  This will always be home and we plan to come back and visit. 
Church was hard this past week, particularly for Bobby as he has been a member of the Praise team for the last ten years and they have developed a special bond. 

 
We have both had a chance this week to meet up with a few friends and had some unplanned bump into someone that we hadn’t seen for awhile moments. 
We made visits to our past on loved ones at the cemeteries. We took advantage of early voting. We shopped and stocked our small shelves and fridge with the necessities we will need. Bought the dogs new treats and blankets….I think we are ready.
We have had a beautiful week on the Greenbrier River, the dogs have really had fun being able to run and play in the leaves.  How blessed we have been to have such beautiful weather, even with a large part of the leaves now on the ground, the sunshine on the trees still make for a beautiful site.  
Last night was a special night…our friends that now live in the river house that we owned for twenty-five years, hosted a wonderful dinner for us. The food was fabulous! We played games and the guys played some great music. It was a bit strange being the guest in this house this time!😁

We will be pulling out in the morning heading to Big Stone Gap, VA where we will be staying through Thanksgiving. We will be spending time with my sister, brother in law, niece and nephew, and great nieces and nephews and other friends we have made over the years.

    Love this Beni. My grandma always said she will never say “goodbye” she always would say See ya later! ❤️ touches my heartstrings.

Cruising up 89 through Utah

   Wow!!!  is the first word that comes to mind when seeing these beautiful sites.   Before one site settles in, around the next curve comes another.  We spent a night at the Walmart in Page, Utah. It was crazy at the amount of campers staying on the parking lot there! This was the most crowded Walmart we have ever stayed at LOL.   Horseshoe Bend was just a few miles away. It was a breath taking view.  We had a good little walk and it was hot that day but certainly worth the effort.    Next we moved on to Zion National Park.  We stayed in a nice little park in Mt Carmel, just a few miles drive to Zion.  Still one beautiful view after another. I had to add this photo because it is not what we are used to seeing …gotta love it! At this point, we were thrilled to have our friends Chuck and Linda Milne join us!  They were kind enough to drive from their home in Las Vegas in their beautiful RV to see us. That thing is a beast! On the Road Again…

 After spending some great time with family it has come time to start heading west.  We left a few days ago with a decision to stay basically south to avoid any mountain snow we might run into along the way though that decision came with the risk of the wind, storms and tornados! We spent last night between Oklahoma City and Amarillo. We had a big thunder storm that we were just conscious enough to realize but didn’t seem to bother either of us to be concerned about enough to check things out. After watching the evening news I learned there had been some pretty severe weather.  Today was beautiful traveling. Today’s adventure brought a stop at Bucee’s. If you haven’t been to a Bucee,s it is huge time and money trap …but a lot to see and yes we suckered in and bought some Bucee,s goodies that we didn’t need 😂. Life in Washington

What an adventure it’s been.  It has been awhile since I have posted a blog entry. A lot has taken place since our arrival in Sedro Woolley, Washington. When we arrived here in May the first thing we needed to do was to get our motorhome settled into an a space that will be home until we have a new home. Mission accomplished.  It is taking longer than anticipated getting a home built. Who knew it doesn’t “just happen”!! But we will get there. In the meantime we are comfortable, happy and don’t mind our tiny home. From the time we arrived up until just a few weeks ago, I have not shared much on social media due to the fact that I had an unfortunate health setback and was literally unable to.  I normally don’t share or talk a lot about my health issues but some who know me pretty well are aware that I have been dealing with Rheumatoid Arthritis for several years.
